In the event there are 9 or fewer acceptors for this race, the club reserves the right to add the lowest rating out of form 1-win trotters from Race 2, off a handicap of 30-metres. See special condition No.,6
For R35 to R70 trotters. Front: R35 to R40. 10m: R41 to R50. 20m: R51 to R57. 30m: R58 to R65. 40m: R66 to R70. The winner will get a rating penalty free win if 4YO and older, and driven by a Junior Driver, and has not previously won a rating penalty free race this season. If sufficient nominations this race will be split based on Ratings/Conditions, meaning a higher rated 1-win horse may be included in a lower rated race. The stake of the lowest rating race will be $11,000.
For 2-year-old pacers. Preferential Barrier Draw Based on: Winning Stakes then Sex (fillies drawn inside colts and geldings) using the track grid. If this race is not held due to insufficient entries, these horses will be transferred to other races and conditions changed.
For R35 to R60 3yo pacing fillies with winning stakes up to and including $30000 for lifetime. Preferential Barrier Draw Based on: Winning Stakes using the track grid. Race winning 3YOs eligible for this race will not be permitted to accept for any other race in this programme, unless this race field is full (13 acceptors). For non-win (MR) pacers aged two years and older at the closing of nominations for the Oamaru HRC meeting held on Thursday 7th November 2024. For R35 to R45 4yo-&-older pacing mares. Preferential Barrier Draw Based on: Rating then Winning Stakes using the track grid. The winner will get a rating penalty free win if driven by a Junior Driver, and has not previously won a rating penalty free race this season.
For R35 to R65 3yo-&-older pacers. Also R66 to R70 if driven by a concession junior driver. These races will be split based on ratings. Preferential Barrier Draws will be used if deemed necessary. The stake for the lowest rating race will be $10,000, middle race(s) $12,000 and highest race $13,000.

  1. RIGHT OF RE-ENTRY TIME


    Shall be 5pm on day before raceday.

  2. ORIGINAL NOMINATIONS


    In the event horses are transferred to another race from the trainer, selection preference will be given to original nominations received for that race.

  3. IMPORTANT NOTICE TO NOMINATORS


    Owners and Trainers are reminded that the club has the right to transfer any horse not selected to start in a race for which it was nominated to ANY OTHER RACE ON THE PROGRAMME for which it may be eligible. If you do not wish the club to exercise it's right to transfer a particular nominated horse then it is your responsibility as the nominator to advise the club of the same.

  4. SPLITTING FIELDS


    In the event any race or races are split on this Programme, unless specific in the individual race conditions, races will be split and selected at the club's discretion, with consideration given to Ratings in the first instance.

  5. DUAL ACCEPTORS/NOMINATORS


    In the event that horses have gained a start at another meeting these horses are not guaranteed to gain a start at this meeting.

  6. GOLD CHIP


    For non-win (MR), or up to 1 win trotters for lifetime aged two years and older at the closing of nominations for the Oamaru HRC meeting to be held on Thursday 7th November 2024. Conditions: 1. Open to all trotters aged two years and older that have never won a race (non-winners, MR), or have won one win for lifetime. 2. To be eligible to start in the Gold Chip Championship Trot a horse must start in at least one race or an open trot race run by Southern Harness Racing Clubs (Oamaru HRC, Wyndham HRC, Winton HRC, Invercargill HRC, and Forbury Park TC) in the period from 7th November 2024 through to 20th December 2024. The 'R' rating horses must win their second respective race at one of the Southern Harness meetings to be eligible 3.Field selection for the Gold Chip Championship will operate as follows: Most wins at a Southern Harness Club meeting during that period, most 2nds at a Southern Harness Club meeting during that period, most 3rds at a Southern Harness Club meeting during that period, then Club Discretion. 4.The $15000 Gold Chip Championship held on 27th December 2024 at the Gore HRC meeting and will be raced over 2700m, from a standing start. (non-winners, MR) will start from the front line, R rated horses from a 20 metre handicap.

  7. LADYSHIP/NUGGET FINAL


    For non-win (MR) pacers aged two years and older at the closing of nominations for the Oamaru HRC meeting held on Thursday 7th November 2024. Conditions: 1. Open to all pacers aged two years old and older that have never won a race (non-winners, MR) 2. To be eligible to start in the Nugget Final Mobile Pace a horse must race in at least one race and win its first race run by the Southern Harness Racing Clubs (Oamaru HRC, Wyndham HRC, Winton HRC, Invercargill HRC, Forbury Park TC) in the period from 7th November 2024 through to the 8th December 2024. 3.Field selection for the Ladyship/Nugget Final will operate as follows: All winners qualify unless a countback is required, then most wins during that period at a Southern Harness Club meeting, most 2nds during that period at a Southern Harness Club meeting, most 3rds during that period at a Southern Harness Club meeting then club discretion. 4.The $15000 Ladyship/Nugget Final will be raced over 1609m, from a mobile start, with a preferential barrier draw based on winning stakes.
